Woven by Hand, Made to Be Used
StrawCrafters brings together handmade straw and woven goods for the home and for summer days. Our pieces are handwoven by artisans using natural fibers such as straw, cattail, water hyacinth and raffia.
We choose designs that are simple, useful and easy to live with, so a basket, a hat or a pair of slippers can become part of your everyday routine.

Materials
Natural fibers are at the heart of every piece. Straw, cattail, water hyacinth and raffia each have their own texture and tone, which is why no two items look exactly alike. Because they are plant fibers, keeping them dry and out of long periods of direct sun helps them last.
Craftsmanship
Each item is shaped and woven by hand rather than by machine. Weaving by hand takes time and leaves small differences in pattern and color. Those differences show how the piece was made; they are a sign of handwork, not a flaw.
